Our Mission

Our Mission

“To improve the health and well-being of children in our community through philanthropy, voluntarism, and grantmaking.”

At CHILDRENS HOSPITAL INLAND EMPIRE FOUNDATION, our mission is to ensure that every child — regardless of their background, income, or medical condition — receives compassionate, high-quality healthcare. We do this by mobilizing community support, funding essential medical services, and empowering pediatric innovation. Through our collaborative efforts with hospitals, families, donors, and volunteers, we address urgent needs, close healthcare gaps, and help children heal, grow, and thrive.

Our Vision

“A future where every child in the Inland Empire has access to the care, support, and opportunities they need to live a healthy, fulfilling life.”

We envision a region where no child suffers due to lack of resources, where medical excellence meets human compassion, and where communities unite to protect and nurture their youngest members. Our vision drives us to create sustainable change — one hospital, one family, one child at a time.

Healing Children, Supporting Families, Transforming Communities.

At Childrens Hospital Inland Empire Foundation, our mission is clear and powerful:

To ensure that every child in the Inland Empire has access to world-class pediatric care, and every family has the support they need to face medical challenges with dignity, hope, and strength.

We exist to be a bridge between medical excellence and community need — closing the gaps in care, access, and resources that too many families face when their child falls seriously ill.

Why Our Mission Matters

Every child deserves a healthy start, but not every child receives one. In the Inland Empire, countless families face heartbreaking barriers when their children need medical care — from long travel distances to find pediatric specialists, to overwhelming financial burdens, to a lack of emotional and logistical support during treatment.

Our mission matters because children’s health is not optional — it’s urgent, essential, and deeply personal. When a child is sick or injured, families should be able to focus on healing, not on how they’ll afford treatment, where they’ll sleep, or how they’ll get to the hospital.

At the Children’s Hospital Inland Empire Foundation, we step in where gaps exist. We help ensure no child suffers simply because resources are limited. We support families so they don’t have to face crisis alone. We invest in care that brings comfort, stability, and a fighting chance to the most vulnerable among us.

Because when we help one child heal, we strengthen an entire family. And when we uplift families, we transform communities.

The Inland Empire is home to over one million children, yet families here often face:

  • Long wait times for specialty pediatric services
  • Financial hardship from hospital-related expenses
  • Travel burdens to distant children’s hospitals
  • Limited access to family-centered support programs

We are here to change that. Because no child’s health should be determined by geography, income, or circumstance.

What Drives Us

1. Child-Centered Healthcare Access

We fund programs that improve access to diagnostics, urgent care, and long-term treatment for children suffering from cancer, chronic illness, trauma, and rare diseases — right here in the Inland Empire.

2. Family-Focused Support

From emergency financial aid and meal assistance to temporary housing and transportation, our foundation helps families stay together and strong during the most difficult moments of their lives.

3. Equity and Advocacy

We advocate for underserved and underrepresented communities to receive the same level of care as anyone else. Our initiatives work toward equity in healthcare, language access, and cultural sensitivity across medical settings.

4. Innovation in Pediatric Medicine

By funding research, medical education, and technology upgrades, we support breakthroughs that enhance diagnosis, reduce suffering, and save young lives.

Our Vision for the Future

We envision a future where:

  • No child in the Inland Empire has to wait for lifesaving care.
  • No parent feels alone or helpless when facing their child’s illness.
  • Every family has the tools, knowledge, and community to heal and rebuild.
  • Local hospitals and clinics are fully equipped to serve the pediatric needs of their region.
