What We Do
“Supporting Health, Empowering Families, Advancing Pediatric Care”
At CHILDRENS HOSPITAL INLAND EMPIRE FOUNDATION, our programs are designed to deliver direct, life-changing support to children and families in need. Rooted in compassion and driven by impact, each program addresses a vital area of pediatric health — from access to care and family stability to medical innovation and outreach.
We proudly operate a range of initiatives that bring critical services and hope to communities across the Inland Empire.

Pediatric Medical Support
At CHILDRENS HOSPITAL INLAND EMPIRE FOUNDATION, we believe that no child should be denied medical care because of financial hardship. Through our Pediatric Medical Support program, we help children facing serious and life-threatening conditions receive the essential care they need to survive and thrive. Whether it’s covering the cost of a life-saving surgery, providing access to medications, or ensuring hospitals have the pediatric equipment required to treat young patients, this program is a vital lifeline for families in crisis. By working closely with local hospitals and care teams, we make it possible for children to receive timely, specialized treatment that can make all the difference in their journey to healing.

Family Assistance Grants
When a child is hospitalized or undergoing long-term treatment, the emotional and financial toll on families can be overwhelming. Our Family Assistance Grants are designed to ease that burden, offering practical, compassionate support to help families stay close and focused on their child’s recovery. From covering travel expenses and temporary lodging to offering help with meals and daily essentials, these grants provide stability during some of the most difficult moments a family can face. By lifting financial strain, we allow parents and caregivers to be fully present with their child—because being together during treatment can be just as powerful as the medicine itself.

Community Outreach
Improving children’s health means reaching families long before they enter a hospital. Through our Community Outreach & Education program, we bring essential health resources directly into underserved neighborhoods across the Inland Empire. We host wellness fairs, offer mobile clinics, and partner with schools and local groups to provide preventive screenings, vaccinations, and education on nutrition, hygiene, and mental health. These outreach efforts not only promote early intervention and awareness, but also empower families to make informed decisions about their children’s health. By breaking down barriers to access and information, we’re building a healthier, more resilient future—one family at a time.
Turning Compassion into Action – One Project at a Time
We translate our mission into real-world impact through targeted, high-impact projects that uplift the health and well-being of children and their families. Each project is designed to address specific community needs with measurable outcomes.

Family Comfort Housing Program
“Because Healing Happens Best When Families Stay Together.”
When a child is facing serious illness, the last thing families should worry about is where to stay. The Family Comfort Housing Program ensures that parents and caregivers remain close to their hospitalized child by offering temporary lodging support, travel stipends, and meals during extended hospital stays.
Many families must travel long distances for specialized care unavailable in their local communities. Our program removes the burden of costly accommodations and provides a safe, comfortable space where families can rest, recharge, and stay emotionally connected to their child during treatment.
